Come meet one of the creators of the famous Steinbach Nutcrackers, Karolin Steinbach!
Guests may bring pieces from home and have one signed for each piece they buy during the event. If they cannot make it for the event they can come and prebuy pieces and we will have it signed for them during the event.
Born on June 9, 1983, in Erlabrunn/Ore-Mountains, Karolin
Steinbach lived in the Eastern part of Germany until 1990. After the
Berlin Wall came down in 1989, Karolin and her family moved to the West.
It was at this time that her mother, Karla, began to work for her father, Herr
Steinbach, at his world famous Steinbach Company. As a young girl,
Karolin spent her afternoons at the factory, surrounded by nutcrackers, playing
with all the colorful materials and parts that make up these beautiful collectible
pieces. After spending five years at the University of Applied Sciences
in her home area of Zwickau, Karolin is proud to have completed her studies and
is now a Diplom-Ingenieur. On April 1, 2008, Karolin began working with
the Steinbach Company, and is now the General Manager of her grandfather’s
company. At this time, both Karolin and her mother are working on the new
line for 2011 and preparing for their fall signing tours.
